We LOVED this Autumn Wedding at Cambo Estate! We’ve been fortunate enough to photograph weddings at some incredible Scottish venues over the years. The wonderful Cambo in the East Neuk of Fife is one we’d looked forward to visiting for a long time. Set on the coast yet hidden in the woods, it is the perfect mix of grandeur and classic style. This is all intertwined with a quirky edge that really sets the place apart. As soon as we arrived for Sarah + Fraser’s wedding, we knew we were in for a treat.
It was a peaceful scene when we joined Sarah in her tower bedroom that morning. It’s rare to find such a relaxed, serene atmosphere during bridal prep! While the Fraser’s room was a bit more boisterous, the overall sense of joy summed up the day perfectly. They chose to have a ‘first-look without looking’ which was just the sweetest thing to witness. This allowed them to exchange gifts and spend some precious time together before tying the knot in Cambo’s beautiful ballroom.
After the ceremony Sarah + Fraser took a wander through the woods and out onto Kingsbarns beach. It was a blustery Autumn day, but that didn’t stop Sarah walking (and dancing!) barefoot on the sand. As Sarah’s AMAZING dress shimmered in the sea breeze, these two got close, enjoying those first just married moments.
In the courtyard, the newlyweds were welcomed by a raucous crowd for speeches, plentiful booze and incredible middle-Eastern food. As the sun set, Sarah led Fraser to a piano where she surprised him, performing Fraser’s favourite pieces of music. It was a really special moment and one we’re glad we sneakily captured!
It was a dream of a day made even better by working with the likes of Wild Flower Workshop (honestly, look at those blooms!) the fabulous team at Cambo and the absolute best in the biz, Bespoke Catering (I, Dave, almost cried when I saw the mini feast they’d prepared for us.)
