We’re so chuffed to finally share the story of this stylish East London wedding! As much as we enjoy capturing weddings and elopements ‘in the wild’, we absolutely LOVE documenting urban wedding stories. Especially when they are as brilliant as this one!
Annie-May and Alex’s day at the super-stylish Town Hall Hotel in East London had the lot: friends and family from all over the world, full of emotion, dreamy decor, a wild dancefloor and (what felt like) an epic journey to the ceremony for the boys…
It was a mixed start. Relaxing and beautifying for the girls, heavy rain and beers on the tube for the boys. But from the moment the ceremony began, it was perfect. The closing Maori reading (celebrating Annie-May’s Kiwi roots) being a particularly emotional highlight.
With SO many details, killer styling and so much stunning architecture and design to photograph, it would’ve been easy to forget about the stars of the show, but Annie-May and Alex have that effortless connection that just draws you in. Capturing some relaxed, intimate moments with them was a total pleasure.
As the day went on, we could see that this was going to turn into one seriously wild party. And right on cue, as soon as the doors slid open to reveal the newlyweds standing in front of their band ready to kick-off. The crowd went crazy and the dancefloor was instantly full!
As we wandered home, the sounds of the party carried all the way down the street. We could hardly keep the smiles off our faces. This had been one for the ages. A perfect day and night.
